The School offers courses in Pharmacology and Clinical Medicine to science, medical and dental students. Our pharmacology teaching program is high-tech, making use of the latest web-based methods to supplement laboratory teaching. The clinical teaching program is supervised by acknowledged leaders in medical education who have introduced modern teaching and learning innovations whilst preserving the traditional patient-centred clinical apprenticeship. We are justifiably proud of a large and successful research program that spans from the proverbial laboratory "bench to bedside". In 2005, School staff produced over 300 books and journal articles on a wide variety of research topics which appeared in respected international journals. Income from contracts, research and centre grants totalled $5.6 million. The core values that guide our activities represent a commitment to a culture that: - Promotes excellence in teaching, research and clinical service
- Encourages intellectual freedom and diversity of thought in teaching, research and clinical care
- Fosters the values of integrity, accountability, fairness and respect for all
- Promotes a strong and supportive environment for our staff, students, colleagues and patients
